Connecting your own domain

Use your own web address, like yourrestaurant.com, for your Talos ordering site.

Where: Admin > Settings > Custom Domain

    Open Custom Domain

    In the sidebar under Admin, click Settings, then choose Custom Domain.

    Enter your domain

    Type the domain you own (for example yourrestaurant.com) in Custom Domain Name and click Save.

    Copy the DNS records

    Talos shows the Required DNS Records. Each one has a Type, Name, and Value. Use the copy button next to each value.

    Add them where you bought your domain

    Log in to the company you bought your domain from (like GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Squarespace), open the DNS settings, and add each record exactly as shown.

    Verify

    Back in Talos, click Verify DNS Records. When it works, the status changes to Active & Secure and your site is live on your domain.

Good to know

  • DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours to take effect. If verifying fails, wait a bit and try again.
  • Only the restaurant owner or an admin can change the domain.
