Modifiers and add-ons
Let customers pick sides, sauces, toppings, and extras, with or without an upcharge.
Where: Orders > Menu > an item > Customizations

Open the item
In the sidebar, click Menu, open the category, and click the item you want to add choices to.

Add a group
In the Customizations card, click Add Modifier Group. Give it a Group Name like Choose Your Sauce.

Add the options
Type each option name, like Ranch, and its price. Leave the price at 0.00 for free options. Press Enter to add the next option. Tick Stackable if a customer can pick the same option more than once.

Set the rules
Under Selection Rules, set Min and Max. A Min of 1 or more makes the group required, so customers have to choose before adding to cart. A Min of 0 makes it optional. Included free makes the first few choices free.

Save
Click Update Item. If the group is shared with other items, choose Apply to All Items or Only This Item.
Good to know
- Click Copy from Item to reuse groups you already built on another item.
- Use “Show this group when” to only show a group after a certain option is picked.
- Removable Ingredients lets customers ask for things like no onions.
